Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

 

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Network Service Manager fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 10 years;
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, configuring and leading the administration of large software-defined networking and micro-segmentation (firewalling) environments;
  • At least 3 years of experience in AWS, Azure or GCP networking, having AWS Certified Advanced Networking;
  • Experience with designing and implementing a micro-segmentation strategy for a large public institution with a multi-cloud environment,comprising on-premises and public cloud infrastructure;
  • Certification: VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) certification or equivalent next generation firewalling certification;
  • At least one project management certification, preferably PM2 Agile or equivalent;
  • Specialty certification or equivalent Azure or GCP certification is a plus;
  • Excellent command of the English and French language.

  

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical assistance on software-defined networking, micro-segmentation (firewalling) and related products or services as required: technical guidance, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, governance, monitoring;
  • Manage diverse projects related to the day-to-day operations;
  • Participate in the formulation, planning and definition of project requirements, liaise with stakeholders and internal customers, participate in requirements gathering and communicate results;
  • Develop a deep understanding of internal business processes, oversee their continuous improvement and manage service reliability;
  • Ensure quality of project documentation, meeting minutes and other relevant documents and deliverables;
  • Participate in and coordinate project meetings and related activities;
  • Supervise services delivered within the managed services portfolio;
  • Ensure that the services delivered by the contractors are compliant and third parties processes/guidelines. Evaluate and implement security standards;
  • The service provider will also be responsible for defining the strategy and future direction of the software-defined networking and firewalling service, including identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement, and developing business cases for new initiatives and investments.
