Our client is seeking a motivated Sales & Operations Controller to join their team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on sales, operations, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Sage One and Power BI is required.
  • Experience with imports, exports, and freight logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of gross profit analysis and job costing.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once every 6 months).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse gross profit reports and gross profit percentages.
  • Create and process customer quotes using Sage One.
  • Manage customer invoicing, back-order reports, and sales related to African markets (DRC, South Africa, Zambia, etc.).
  • Liaise with customers for order updates, deliveries, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct month-end sales reconciliations for related parties.
  • Oversee the delivery schedule of parts, including tracking ETA for international shipments (e.g., Zambia).
  • Manage imports, exports, freight, and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for order processing, stock replenishment, and supplier recons at month end.
  • Clear goods through customs and ensure all documents are checked, uploaded, and filed correctly.
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems using Sage One.
  • Handle all aspects of stock management, including stock item processing, replenishment, monthly stock takes, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and customer back-order reports.
  • Process supplier invoices, customer invoices, and purchase orders on Sage One.
  • Conduct job card costing and analysis to monitor project costs and profitability.
  • Manage month-end reconciliations and financial analysis to support business operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organised filing of all documents, including proof of deliveries and customs documents, using Google Drive.
  • Generate and analyse data using Power BI for management reporting.
  • Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
