Note - this is a 3 month temporary contract
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree majoring in accounting/finance or other relevant qualification
- 5 years experience in accounting/finance
- Proficient in one accounting system
- Experience with financial reporting and knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work with a team (to meet shared goals)
- Ability to work independently and handle changing needs
- Good verbal and written communication
- Prioritise and plan work activities effectively
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Familiarity with Google suite, Xero, SimplePay would be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Preparation of reports and documentation
- Ensuring financial deadlines are met
- Financial reports
- Supporting documentations (asset register, shareholders loan register)
- Preparing and organising monthly and annual departmental review meetings
- Preparation of cash forecasts
- Reconciliation of the inter-company accounts
- Month-end journals (including payroll)
- Data for statutory submissions
- Assisting the preparation of group budgets
- Allocating, reviewing and validating bank transactions
- Able to interpret and apply GAAP
- Collaborate on process improvements
- Reconciliation of the inter-company accounts
