Our client is a modern, feature-rich, full-cycle insurance policy administration system designed for insurers, MGAs, and brokers seeking to optimise their processes, accelerate product launches, and enhance connectivity. Their cloud-based, no-code platform transforms the administration of insurance, delivering a seamless user experience across policy, claims, and billing functions.
Role Overview
Our client’s Solution Developers work within structured teams to provide professional service solutions and support to their clients (Insurers, Brokers, and MGAs).
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Location: Johannesburg
Workplace: Hybrid (2 days in office)
Requirements
- You understand and enjoy technical concepts.
- You appreciate working with code, analyzing data, investigating bugs or errors, and finding the solutions required to correct them.
- You enjoy problem-solving and are solutions-orientated, which is supported by the fact that you enjoy learning and applying new concepts and skills.
- You have good interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy collaboration with others.
- You either have an IT Qualification or 2 years of working experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of:
- MS SQL server-supported versions
- MS SQL, T-SQL, or similarly structured query languages (e.g., Azure SQL, PostgreSQL)
- MS Excel (Intermediate)
- Basic C# syntax
The following will be an added advantage:
- Insurance, InsurTech, financial services, and/or FinTech knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of RestAPI, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Logic Apps, Flowgear
Responsibilities
- Provide expert software support to clients, including designing and implementing tailored solutions.
- Document solutions clearly for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and define user test plans for newly implemented features and solutions.
- Assist clients with feature enhancements and manage additional requests.
- Ensure timely delivery of requirements, meeting specifications with a focus on high quality.
- Investigate and troubleshoot incidents or bugs, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service. While team members are assigned individual work assignments, collaboration is supported and highly encouraged. The primary focus of the team is to ensure that high-quality, effective, and efficient support and solutions are provided to our clients.
