They connect financial institutions, Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), digital wallets, banks, and payment service providers across key global remittance corridors.
Role Overview
The MTO Sales Director will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives and expanding our client’s Money Transfer Operator (MTO) network across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and other key markets. The role focuses on acquiring new MTO partners, strengthening existing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and achieving revenue targets through the expansion of cross-border payment corridors.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership management within: Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), Cross-border payments, Fintech, Banking and Foreign exchange/remittance industry
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong network within the global remittance and payments ecosystem.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and partnership contracts.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to international money transfers and payment services.
- Existing relationships with major MTOs, banks, payment service providers, and digital wallet operators.
- Experience covering Southeast Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Africa, or European remittance corridors.
- Knowledge of SWIFT, local payment rails, wallet integrations, and digital remittance platforms.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow our client's MTO customer portfolio.
- Identify, engage, and onboard new MTO partners across target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, including CEOs, Founders, Country Managers, and Business Heads.
- Lead end-to-end sales activities, including prospecting, solution presentations, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
- Drive transaction volume growth and revenue generation across existing and new remittance corridors.
Partnership Management
- Collaborate with MTO partners to optimize payment flows and increase transaction volumes.
- Develop joint business plans with strategic partners to maximize market opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners on market trends, regulatory developments, and payment innovations.
Market Expansion
- Identify emerging remittance corridors and market opportunities.
- Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to develop competitive strategies.
- Work closely with product and operations teams to launch new payment routes and services.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Operations, and Finance teams to support customer onboarding and implementation.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to account management and operational teams.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product development.
Leadership & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting through CRM systems.
- Present business updates, sales performance, and market opportunities to senior leadership.
- Mentor and support regional business development managers where applicable.
