Senior Solution Architect - Enterprise Architecture & Java (Information Technology/Software)

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

   

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Senior Solution Architect (Enterprise Architecture & Java) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of specific expertise in architecture and design of information systems;
• At least 5 years of specific expertise with visual modeling and design tools (like Archimate, Sparx Enterprise Architecture);
• At least 8 years of specific expertise in Java (both with J2SE and J2EE) with extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of design patterns;
• At least 8 years of specific expertise in relational databases (Oracle, Postgress);
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in UML (version 2.0 or above);
• At least 8 years of specific expertise in developing secure web applications, with expertise in secure development practices;
• At least 4 years of specific expertise in Object Oriented design patterns e.g. Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP);
• At least 4 years of specific expertise in development of web services (REST and SOAP), with expertise in the design and development of web services;
• At least 4 years of specific expertise in data analysis and data modelling;
• At least 1 years of specific expertise in BPMN;
• At least 1 year of specific expertise with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman;
• At least 1 year of specific expertise in AI;
• Excellent command of the English language.

  

Responsibilities

• Create business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals;
• Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities;
• Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership;
• Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities;
• Conduct research to find ways to improve operations;
• Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance.
