Our client’s Microsoft Business Solutions team is a Microsoft Gold Partner and leader in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations, providing their clients with the ability to keep up with the ever-changing digital world by implementing Microsoft’s M365, Azure, Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) software line.
Role Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Solutions Architect with extensive experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects. With a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, strong understanding of financial and supply chain processes and procedures combined with practical knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants, working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused on D365FO functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst leading and mentoring more junior staff.
This role is therefore key to our client’s customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.

Requirements
Experience and Background
Minimum 12 years’ of relevant experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
Experience in leading a team of minimum of 10 members
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
Experience of large-scale ERP implementations
Experience of thinking clearly and calmly under pressure with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
Experience of constantly assessing and incorporating new technologies and software into their skillset
Pre-sales experience
Business process mapping, modelling, and documentation knowledge • Experience of mentoring junior and offshore staff
Skills and Qualifications
Degree in Business & IT or similar.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing • Excellent ability to lead meetings and workshops, and confidently present to the C Suite
Outstanding understanding of Accounting processes, principles, functionality & systems
Solid Finance background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or qualified is desirable but not essential)
Microsoft Dynamics Finance and/or SCM certification, ideally most current version
Outstanding knowledge of the following areas of an implementation project life cycle: Requirements analysis and documentation/Business process mapping and modelling/Development testing and UAT/Data migration/Cut-over activities/Go-live support
Must be able to show exceptional knowledge of best practices for D365FO
Strong MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)
Excellent understanding of Data Migration
Knowledge of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI)
LCS and Azure DevOps knowledge
Understanding of integration tools and technologies
Works independently as well as in a team environment
Strong client centric approach with emphasis on client satisfaction
Knowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams and on multi-national projects
Responsibilities
Project Responsibilities
The Functional Solutions Architect will drive the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions following best practices
Owning the solution for the Finance and/or SCM work stream, making design decisions and reviewing/creating solution documentation
Responsible for leading and managing a team comprising of a group of talented consultants each holding different levels of expertise
Have excellent understanding of D365FO functional capabilities
Involvement with functional interfaces and Integrations with D365FO • Provide on-site support as required by the company or client. Work with onsite engagement team & client team to gather requirements, determine expectations & finalize deliverables
Ownership of gathering and documentation of functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis for workstream
Ensure quality project delivery of deliverables produced and demonstrate experience in system and functional testing
Advise client and delivery team members of scope (creep) and use of change control processes
Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues where applicable
Demonstrate ability around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
Involvement in responding to RFPs and RFQs
Demonstrate excellent foundational consulting skills, including analytical know-how, written. & verbal communication, team participation & presentation skills
Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
Meet and exceed customer expectations from business knowledge, skills, and behaviour
Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Project leads and managers
Identify business/project risk and mitigate or communicate as necessary
Ensure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties both formally and informally
Practice Responsibilities
Awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO in the Finance and/or SCM area and demonstrate changes/additions to team members
Identify practice development activities and strong involvement in the creation and delivery of these to fellow colleagues
Strong involvement in further development of Finance and/or SCM capabilities in D365FO product team

Leads people and helps to grow them in their role
Performance manage and/or mentor junior members of the team
Willing to travel abroad when required
Always represent our client in a professional and positive manner
Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
