Our client is an established gambling and betting operator with online sports betting, casino games, live betting, virtual entertainment, and land-based gambling operations in Namibia. The business is expanding its online casino and betting operations and requires a senior gambling industry leader to oversee both digital and physical operations.

Role Overview

The General Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and operational control of our client’s online and land-based gambling businesses in Namibia. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong iGaming, online casino, sportsbook, and gambling operations experience, supported by an understanding of land-based casino, slots, or LPM environments.

The ideal candidate must be commercially strong, operationally disciplined, and able to manage revenue, risk, compliance, teams, service providers, and business performance across multiple gambling channels.

 

Job Type: Permanent/Full Time

Location: Namibia (Occasional travel between Windhoek, the coast, and other operational sites)

Workplace: Remote

Relocation: Visa support covered by the company

Position Level: Senior / Partner Level with profit-sharing opportunity
 

Requirements

  • Strong online gaming, iGaming, online casino, sportsbook, and sports betting experience.
  • Senior-level experience in the gambling, betting, casino, or iGaming industry.
  • Experience in both online and land-based gambling operations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the South African and/or African gambling and betting landscape.
  • Experience with casino groups, bookmakers, LPM operators, sportsbook operators, online casino platforms, slot operations, or similar gambling businesses.
  • Experience managing player operations, payment flows, platform operations, revenue performance, compliance requirements, and operational risks.
  • Experience working with PSPs, game providers, aggregators, sportsbook platforms, casino platforms, and other service providers.
  • Strong team leadership, operational management, commercial management, and reporting experience.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate to Namibia and travel between operational sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full online casino and sports betting operation, including platform performance, player activity, deposits, withdrawals, revenue, risk, and daily operational controls.
  • Lead and support land-based casino and gambling operations across Namibia, ensuring operational consistency, compliance, cashflow control, and performance across sites.
  • Supervise casino managers, betting staff, customer support teams, finance, compliance, and operational personnel.
  • Monitor daily revenue, deposits, withdrawals, player behaviour, cashflow, payment activity, operational risks, and escalation matters.
  • Coordinate with PSPs, game providers, aggregators, platform suppliers, sportsbook providers, casino providers, and other third-party service providers.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between online gaming, sportsbook, finance, compliance, customer support, and land-based teams.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, procedure development, staff discipline, and performance management.
  • Implement and maintain strong operational procedures across online gaming, betting, cash handling, player support, compliance, reporting, and risk management.
  • Identify business risks, operational inefficiencies, revenue leakage, fraud concerns, and player-related issues, escalating matters where required.
