Junior Application Developer (Information Technology/Software)

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Junior Application Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• Development, configuration, maintenance and documentation of software components based on the applicable design specifications;
• Development and integration of technological components;
• Development of interoperability components in accordance with the interoperability framework and integration of reusable components from other systems;
• Development of unit test specifications and performing these using the applicable toolset and infrastructure environment;
• Design automation testing scripts for conducting unit testing and integration testing in development environment;
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.

Responsibilities

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of at least 5 years;
• Minimum 3 years of experience as software and application developer;
• Minimum 3 years in Java and Spring;
• Good knowledge of Kafka;
• Good knowledge of the development of web and multi-tiers web applications, and mobile applications;
• Good knowledge of the web services stack used in the selected technology;
• Good knowledge and experience in using development frameworks related to products/programming languages used;
• Excellent command of the English language.
