GCSP - General Foreman, Capital Construction

GCSP is General Construction Special Project. One of Department in PT Freeport Indonesia. This position is to oversee, supervise, control, manage and monitor the construction projects in Lowland area and External outside PTFI COW area that using capital budget. This includes coordinating and dealing with local government officials, local community leaders, contractors/consultants/investors and the other stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

1. Manage, control, and monitor of Capital construction projects related with engineering study, tender process, contract agreement, construction works, commissioning and start up, and hand over.

2. Liaise with Government Officials, major contractor and consultant chiefs, community leaders and other stakeholders for the project administration and permits.

3. Liaise with business plan concept to stakeholders and PTFI related department (Government Relations, Environmental, SCM, SRM, Export Import, KPI, etc.).

4. Manage, control, and monitor the cost, schedule, and quality of project.

5. Regular field check to acquire the updated data and solve any issues at the field.

6. Coordinate with all related parties for all logistics needs and transportation.

7. Prepare weekly and monthly progress report include any issues arise, actions taken and follow up actions.

The key challenges in this position include:

° The incumbent shall be able to establish good relationship with government officials (Kepala Dinas, Police, Military) and Communities leaders (religious leaders and Papuan leaders).

° The incumbent shall have experience and knowledge in managing various projects simultaneously.

° The incumbent shall be able to work independently and coordinate with various stakeholders of the project to ensure the project goals are achieved according to direction from PTFI Management.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

° S1 degree in Civil Engineer or Architecture Engineer with 5+ years working experience in project construction and/or engineering consultant firm.

° Master degree in any Engineering field of MBA with 3+ years working experience in Engineering or Architectural firms.

° Experienced in dealing with various group within communities.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills &; Characters)

° High communication skills. The incumbent need to have the ability to do high-level communication with government officials (Kepala Dinas, police, military), Department Heads/Managers, and Communities leaders (religious leaders and Papuan leaders).

° Persuasion and negotiation skills.

° Customer success orientation.

° Report writing in English is a must.

° Flexible in managing office time and his/her time in the field.
