The Role:

Wer'e seeking a Senior Process Engineer who thrives on hands-on production work and has a strong background in polymer extrusion and plastics manufacturing. This role is pivotal in supporting day-to-day manufacturing, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve daily production challenges in polymer extrusion processes.
  • Process Optimization: Work directly with machines to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives that drive productivity and product quality.
  • Safety Leadership: Conduct risk assessments and lead process safety projects.
  • Technical Support: Oversee start-ups for new products and equipment, ensuring smooth transfer to production.
  • Data Analysis: Use statistical tools to analyze production trends and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Partner with operators and quality teams to maintain compliance with SQF/ISO standards.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior team members.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in plastics, polymer, or packaging manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in polymer extrusion and direct work with production machinery.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach to solving complex production issues.

Nice-to-Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical roles providing engineering
    support to manufacturing sites, preferably in the plastics, polymer, or packaging industries.
  • Experience with advanced process safety methodologies, statistical
    analysis, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Prior experience in mentoring junior technical staff or leading
    cross-functional technical teams.
